Booklynx ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Booklynx mobile application (the "Service").

User Content

We store data you generate within the app, such as your book library, reading sessions, reviews, and reading statistics, using Cloud Firestore.

  • To allow you to participate in interactive features of our Service when you choose to do so
  • To provide customer care and support
  • To provide analysis or valuable information so that we can improve the Service
  • To monitor the usage of the Service

Service Providers

We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service ("Service Providers"), to provide the Service on our behalf, to perform Service-related services or to assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.

These third parties have access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

Firebase

We use Firebase services provided by Google Inc.

  • Firebase Authentication: We use this service to facilitate user authentication and secure access to your account.
  • Cloud Firestore: We use this service to store and sync your application data (books, reading sessions, etc.) in real-time.
  • Firebase Storage: We use this service to store user-generated content and media.
  • Firebase Hosting: We use this service to host our web application and related assets.
  • Cloud Functions for Firebase: We use this service to run backend code and manage server-side logic.
  • Firebase Crashlytics: We use this service to report application crashes and help us improve the stability of the app.
  • Google Analytics for Firebase: We use this service to analyze how our app is used. This service collects your device's Advertising Identifier (IDFA on iOS, ADID on Android) and other usage data.

Google Books API

We use the Google Books API to search for books and retrieve book details (covers, descriptions, metadata). By using this Service, you are bound by the Google Books API Terms of Service.

Advertising

We may use third-party Service Providers to show advertisements to you to help support and maintain our Service.

Google AdMob

Google AdMob is an advertising service provided by Google Inc.

Data Security

Data Deletion

You have the right to request the deletion of your account and all associated data. You can request account deletion here.

Upon deletion, all your personal data and user-generated content will be permanently removed from our systems.

Children's Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13 ("Children"). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your Children has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from children without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.
